Lac Lioson - Switzerland - Vaud
Lac Lioson is located above Les Mosses in the canton of Vaud. This sleepy area is perfect for a family outing in summer. Void of tourists and not too crowded, the lake provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing summer day.

The views in the region are stunning and the effort (despite the steep uphill climb to the lake) around the lake is minimal. This route is ideal for summer activities (we saw people swimming and boating) and don't forget to pack a picnic.

Special Features:
The route around the lake is visually impressive. It reminded us of a scene out of Lord of the Rings.
The lake route is relatively flat and easy.
Pack a picnic and enjoy a slow summer day. Afterall, that's what summer is for...unwinding.
If you forget your lunch, stop into Restaurant du Lac Lioson.
There are plenty of extensions available from the lake should you wish to continue your hike.

Tip: The homemade ice cream is incredible at Restaurant du Lac Lioson!
Be Aware:
