We are asked all of the time - how do you get your kids to hike?
In our home, we believe time in nature is essential, so honestly, our children don't get much of a choice. Getting out of the house is never easy, but once we are outside a whole new world opens up to us.
One tip we can suggest that does help, is to create the space to allow your child the opportunity to own their time in nature. What we mean by that, is by providing them with a guidebook, or in this case, Fresh Air Kids - My Book of Discoveries, so that they can easily leaf through the pages, select a scavenger hunt, or an activity of their choice, which will help motivate and support curiosity during the time they spend outdoors.
Our small, easy to carry book, Fresh Air Kids - My Book of Discoveries, is an affordable way to encourage outdoor time in a fun, yet educational way.
This book is ideal for children six years and up who like to:
Our book is in three languages: French, German and English and is available at Helvetiq.com
The book is also a fabulous resource for forest playgroups, nature groups, schools, hiking clubs and educational platforms that encourage families and their children to spend more time outside.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Have fun exploring!
