2 X Christmas – Did you know that each year the Swiss Post in conjunction with the Swiss Red Cross and SRG SSR, ships (free of charge) the items you donate (non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products) to those families with limited means in Switzerland and abroad?
This year to help celebrate another year of giving, the Swiss Post, the SRG SSR and the Swiss Red Cost will be donating items to those less fortunate.
If you are looking for a way to contribute to the holiday cheer by helping those in need, your donations can be dropped off in a box at your local post office from the 24th of December through the 11th of January 2022. This is a great way to reinforce community and our common humanity.
On a personal note, with our children, we have participated in 2 X Christmas for several years. As a tradition, together we all shop for items we think would be appreciated and useful to those most in need. Our children come with us to the post when we handover our package in the hopes that our small contribution makes someone's life that much easier and sweeter during the holiday season.
In 2020/2021 over 62,800 packages were donated to this worthy cause!
